Finding Yourself at W&J College
Maybe you know your goal is medical school. Or maybe you're not sure yet where you're headed. Both paths are possible at W&J College. Here, you'll discover limitless connections. You might uncover connections between cuisine and communication that will make you a better cook and a better doctor, or unearth a passion for wildlife conservation through one of the student clubs.
“She has been a long-time mentor of mine and one of the primary influences in my travel abroad ambitions,” said Fedor of Assistant Professor of Russian Susan Vdovichenko, Ph.D. “Without her, I would never have had experiences…which taught me leadership, communication, mentorship, conflict/resolution, and problem solving—all essential skills for a Fulbright grantee.”
“I want to incorporate educating the public about scientific topics,” she said, “so that our community can be more knowledgeable and aware of what’s happening around them. Everyone at W&J has encouraged me to do my best, chase what I love, and take risks. I am glad I took the advice because I am now confident that I can reach my goals!”
The classes at W&J gave me the opportunity to experience diversity and broaden my range of understanding about things I didn’t know, especially with the general education requirements. All of that has added up to a better understanding of the world around me and how to interact with people who are different than me.
